Your wedding morning will soon be here-so exciting!
This is one of my favourite parts of the wedding day full! I usually start my wedding day at brides’ place taking all the beautiful getting ready and meaningful detail’s photographs. To ensure you have stress free, relaxed morning and end up with beautiful photos here are some tips for your wedding morning photographs.
GETTING READY ON YOUR WEDDING MORNING: TIPS & ADVICE
Lay Out your Dress and Accessories
Lay out your dress, shoes, perfume, jewellery, wedding invitation suite, flowers etc. ready to be photographed. You can do this for all the bridesmaids’ dresses and accessories and if you are bringing a small clutch with essentials (lipstick, mints, rescue remedy) leave this ready to go too.
When I arrive in the early morning, I usually start photograph all these meaningful details first. It is always great they are all in one place so I won’t have to distract anyone trying to find these items and I will be able to spend much more time capturing the excitement of the morning.
What to Wear While Getting Ready
Have a think about what you are going to wear for getting ready. You would want these photographs to be included in your wedding album so I want them to be as flattering as possible.
The best thing my brides could wear is a lovely white robe. This bounces light back up into your face for the most flattering photos, plus you will feel really special and pampered. Many of brides choose their dressing robes from Lovelei Brides.
Keep Your Room Nice and Tidy
If you desire a nice clean images without distracting mess in the background then I always suggest to keep your getting ready room nice and tidy. Usually I never start moving things around for photographs as I want to capture your day as it happens. I don’t mean move everything out of the room but consider how you want your background to look in your photographs. You can always ask your lovely bridesmaids to help you with that if needed.
Lighting is Everything
I always, always keep telling tell my couples try and get ready in a nice bright room with loads of natural lightning. I am a natural light photographer so the more sunshine pouring in the better! I may ask you to sit near a window to have your hair and make up done or for when you put on your dress; this is to make sure I get the most beautiful and light filled photographs. Some brides choose to move into a different, brighter room when putting on their dress – whatever works for you in the space you are getting ready in.
Leave enough time for photos
Leave enough time in the morning for pictures with your bridesmaids, parents as well as some individual portrait photographs. I would recommend being ready about 30 minutes before you are planning to leave. Also being ready earlier it will make you feel much less stressed and you will be able to enjoy your wedding morning much more.
Most important relax and enjoy your wedding morning! I hope these tips are useful for making the most of your wedding photos on the wedding morning.
