What is Fine Art Wedding Photography?
I have spent 8 years developing my own style and approach. During this time, I have developed skills on learning fine art approach, combined with pure documentary, resulting my couples no longer have to choose between documentary photography and fine art.
Fine art is very different to most wedding photography. The colours and tones of fine art images are something absolutely special, the style and colours are so close to film photography, which is known for beautiful pastel colours and of course, I cannot forget about black and white images too. Natural light is also a huge element to fine art photography, it helps create these soft tones, and so a day filled with beautiful natural light is perfect for us as photographers.
My photographs are elegant and timeless. It’s not about taking thousands photographs and hoping for the best but making sure each flame is worth taking. It’s how I came about developing my photography style. I Love to combine elements of nature, beautifully honest, raw emotion and knowledge of light and colour to create a cohesive collection what will only increase in value over time.
Documentary, also known as reportage or photojournalism, records genuine moments occurring throughout a wedding day. It’s a focus on storytelling, on creating a faithful documentary record of the most important day of your life.
Natural, Elegant and Timeless are my favourite words to describe my style and I take pride of not only capturing moments of the wedding day, but also every detail that have taken so much planning, your beautiful florals, jewellery, rings and wedding gown.
